To be perfectly honest, it usually takes most people a few months, which is why it’s always a good idea to think about affordable Valentine’s Day date ideas. bed.
Whip up a delicious breakfast spread on Valentine's Day and enjoy it lounging in bed. It will be a nice change of pace from the usual morning hustle and bustle.
6 Go for a drive.
No destination? No problem. All you need for this fun Valentine's Day activity is a sense of adventure and a full tank of gas! You'll both get out of your comfort zones while you explore new terrain. There's no telling what you might stumble across.
7 Enjoy a wine and chocolate tasting. (one of my favorites)

8 Write love letters
to each other.
If you've never done it before, now's the time to put in writing why your partner is so special to you. Tell them which of their qualities you most admire, how they make you feel, and why you fell in love with them.
9 Take a bath.
For a bubble bath worthy of a honeymoon suite, surround the tub with candles, sprinkle rose petals in the water, and set a tray of chocolate-covered strawberries and a bottle of Champagne within arm's reach.
10 Practice yoga together.
Enjoy some Zen time together while stretching and breathing in sync.
11 Give each other a massage.
Grab a bottle of body oil, set the mood with candles and relaxing background music, and give your partner at least 30 minutes of massage therapy. They can thank you by returning the favor.
12 Make a bucket list.
Spend the day coming up with a bucket list of everything you'd like to do together—from romantic vacations to take to new activities to try to concerts you want to see—then spend Valentine's Day making plans to start checking things off.
You can celebrate love all 365 days of the year, but it’s always nice to do a little something extra to commemorate your partner on Valentine’s Day. Of course, you can buy chocolates, flowers and gifts — but few things are more romantic to. Being honest about what you both need in a relationship is really impotant in a ensuring that it flourishes and is not left to flounder. Comunication is the KEY.
So, whatever you are doing this valentine´s Day, try to ensure it involves one-on-one tme together... and make sure you leave your phone behind!!

Now let´s talk serious:
Today’s media portrays Christmas as such a consumer holiday by implementing large savings and deals during this time of year. Consumerism runs this country (world), and frankly sometimes it’s hard to just remove it from our every day lives. Yes, it’s OK to purchase these items on sale and gift them to your kid, but a gift does not substitute love and compassion.
The world we live in is so materialistic. We judge each other on status: which brands we wear, what music we listen to, how much stuff we have. Giving and receiving gifts during Christmas is by no means a bad thing, but it is not the sole focus of the holiday. The holiday is a celebration of the birth of Christ and a holiday to spend time with the people who really mean the most to you: your family. It’s not about getting that perfect toy for your kid, but rather a time to spend time with them and enjoy their company. After all, they’re not children forever.
My advice to you is to really think about the meaning of the holiday and try to let that shape your life. Think about it — what if people acted like they did around the holiday, every day. Think about the religious significance, think about how you’re supposed to treat each other with dignity.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and Christmas is in the air. Don’t Forget The Reason For The Season!!

Sometimes, we are so keen on making plans, short term, or long term, and we don’t realize that so often, life makes plans for us. Or in other words, we are just reacting to the situations that we are thrown into.
Right now, I am in the middle of adjustment to our “new home” that is surprisingly not located with the borders of the United States, as we planned. Instead, I am in Brno, Czech Republic, trying to figure so many different things, regarding my kids, school, getting settled and thousands of other things to be taken care of. Luckily, I am equipped with the basics of the language (for those who know little bit about the local tongue, IT AIN’T NO JOKE), so this transition is not as hard as it could be.
My husband took an opportunity to come to Brno to be part of the new project, to stay active during this difficult period of time. Covid 19 pandemic has been hard on virtually everyone, and like I mentioned before, it has rearranged plans for many.
So, I am here, at the outskirts of second biggest city in Czech Republic, looking at the field of sunflowers that are almost all dead. School just started, and our kids are thrown into a brand-new environment, almost new language. New everything. But they are great, they do not sweat it as much as we adults would.
They are young, they adopt. They look at the bright side, and maybe we should take a note, and behave like them.
I feel truly fortunate that my husband has a job, we live in a safe place and pretty much everything is taken care of. Not everyone can say that. I am sure that Brno offers more things to do, and it is not going to be only about basketball this season. I am excited to get to know this part of Czech Republic, Moravia, the land of local wines. Let’s go!
Acai bowls are like a smoothie in a bowl with toppings. Some people go to 16 Handles and load up with froyo and toppings, others go to Pure Green and get a healthier but equally tasty acai bowl. They’re similar concepts — both are refreshing frozen treats. Acai bowls get their name from their base, which is usually a combination of frozen acai, banana, some sort of liquid like coconut water or almond milk, and sometimes other fruits or nut butters. These ingredients all get blended together like they would in a smoothie, and the frosty deliciousness is then poured into a bowl, ready to be topped.

FAREWELL OF THE CZECH BASKETBALL LEGENDS
This past weekend I was a part of the unique basketball event in Czech Republic that celebrated careers of two top players of their generation, Jiri Welsch and Lubos Barton, who happens to be also my husband. Both players were born in 1980 and their careers ended last year, respectively three years ago in Lubos’ case. Welsch played many years in NBA and had a good career in Europe. Barton played college ball for 4 years before returning to Europe to win many titles. They both played for the senior national team since very early age (1997) and finished almost twenty years later. Therefore, Czech basketball federation tried to give these two one more chance to showcase their fans their skills and also their character.
The weekend started on Friday; little golf tournament was held near Prague in one of the top golf courses in Czech Republic. Many famous and important people were present, but it never took away a spotlight from both players. Only Welsch played golf, Barton was more of a spectator.
At night, team dinner followed up, in a close circle of around twenty people, many people knew each other, some made new friendships, just like always happens on such occasions. After dinner, little bit of night life was in order but must for few drinks (wink). Gotta keep it professional because next day, the main event was going to be held in near town, Pardubice.
Not every player gets a chance to have a farewell exhibition game, in front of their families, friends and fans. Not everyone can choose his teammates for the last game. It was very clear that this event is going to be a lot more than a basketball match. Players (both teams featured many very good ex-players, from all around the world) were relaxed and they were having good time, the atmosphere around was being contagious by it. The event took place in an ice hockey arena in Pardubice, but its size was perfect for such occasion.
Other thing that is very important for any exhibition are the people behind the scenes, who make possible many different things around the event. I am talking about logos, presentations, sponsors, TV, special effects, merchandising, charity, TV and media coverage. Just so many things normal person would have never thought about. And they did a very good job.
During the game, there were many media timeouts, games between the two, some funny and awkward moments, bringing them closer to the fans. There were video messages from important people that couldn’t make the event, on a big box screen, players like Ricky Rubio, Gianluca Basile, or coaches like Aito Garcia Reneses or Sergio Scariolo.
Three minutes to go, the game was stopped, and both players got their time with a microphone in hand. They took this opportunity to thank their families, wives and friends for support, thanking everyone who was involved in the event, trying not to forget somebody.
I could tell that there were lots of emotions going on, but definitely the positive ones, knowing that this was it and they were saying their last goodbye to the game that gave them so much. And they were doing it together and with their families present.
Symbolically, my husband made a game tying three point shot 5 seconds to go, and Welsch instead of trying to win the game with the last shot, put the ball down on the floor and hugged Lubos.
It was almost like from some Hollywood movie. What a way to finish their careers!!!

Catalan fashion presented the 23rd edition of its most important event, the 080 week of fashion in Barcelona, which
The also called 080 Barcelona Fashion is the benchmark in Barcelona and a classic in the city that this year also marked the local and global trend with the collections of Spanish and foreign designers.
But before talking about the best of this event, I want to tell you a little about what it is and what its essence is.
What is the 080 Barcelona Fashion?
The 080 week of fashion in Barcelona was born in 2007 with the aim of becoming a fashion reference and a platform for independent designers. This catwalk is inspired by creativity and innovation and is a reflection of Catalan and world fashion.
This event aims to turn Barcelona into a global showcase and an unmissable event for design lovers. Since its first edition, fashion week in Barcelona has been improving and today is a catwalk showcasing that creative and open fashion.
The designers of the 080 Barcelona Fashion 2019
As every year, in this edition the emerging designers had great prominence, on the catwalk three new fashion talents were launched. One of them was the signature 113 Maison, a proposal that presents its own look away from the patterns with an organic and artisan fashion.
In the same way first came Teo & Leah company known for its elegant informal design style and young designer Rubén Galarreta beaten with its colorful and exuberant collection that already captivated artists like Lady Gaga.
The entrance door also featured renowned designers such as Miriam Ponsa, Zé García, Agnés Sunyer, Costo Barcelona, Menchén Tomás, Antonio Miró and Sita Murt, a total of more than 30 design professionals filled with Modernista Sant Pau fashion .
In addition, this was one of the most international editions since the event received four foreign designers: The CHULAAP South African company with its inspired by oriental motifs and African prints, Umit Benan and his particular style of narrative projects, the Colombian Carlos discreet with his collection “Migrations” and the Peruvian Esau Yori, accompanied by its autumn-winter line.
Fashion week in Barcelona: my favorite styles 080 Barelona Fashion Week catwalk was full of interesting collections, attracted a lot of attention foreign cultures inspirations, purely conceptual designs and sports gear and technology.
Ze García: The new collection by Ze García, entitled Origen, was one of my favorites for its Baroque inspiration with a contemporary touch. José María García González, designer and creator of the brand played with materials such as satin, tulle and silk clothes inspired by Rose Bertin, Minister Marie Antoinette fashion. Volumes on the sleeves define the tone, as well as loose necklines with pleats, shoulder pads and corsets.
113 Maison: this collection conveys the essence of the 080 Barcelona Fashion, drawings with a defined artistic identity, pieces made by hand with natural fabrics in white, gray and black.
Definitely, this set of large size pieces was the best and I hope to see them next year.
Cost Barcelona: Cost Barcelona presented its Aftersun spring-summer collection inspired by summer nights.
The tops were the protagonists of the parade, accompanied by skirts and pants, as well as the dresses and bodies, which despite being different from the designs of the brand follow the Custo genetics.

This edition of the 080 Barcelona Fashion brought with it some innovations that made the experience even better, including:
Pop Ups Gallery: It was a new experimental space for the special public, where fashion brands exhibited their products as in an art gallery, accompanied by audiovisual projections and different djs.
Undress your mind: The new motto of the brand “Undress your mind” was created with the idea of abandoning the imposed conventions and opening up to the most creative fashion. This new motto is accompanied by a “claim” or claim that corresponds to a penguin, the animal that is forced to always wear a tuxedo. With all this, they tried to convey the idea of liberation and openness to encourage people to show their personality through clothing.
In addition, this edition also featured a fashion showroom and headquarters at the Barcelona Fashion Summit.

If you are a winter person, if you enjoy snow and cold, don’t wait and book a getaway to Andorra. Even later days of winter and early spring, there is still some snow in the mountains of Andorra, especially well known Soldeu. It is my favorite and by its popularity, I am sure I am not alone. Soldeu has about 470 km squared, and offers great variety of ski experience. You can spend the whole morning and early afternoon on your ski, and try many ski slopes with different difficulties. There is also a place for you to relax, to eat well and of course, to drink excellent and inexpensive champagne.
You can stay in many different kind of hotels around the area. Obviously, everything has its own price, depending how much you want to spend and how much comfort you want to have. Right bellow the cableway that goes up to the mountain, there are famous hotels, Herrmitage hotel and El Sport hotel. Within reasonable walking distance (max 8 min), there are many other smaller hotels and apartments you can rent. Like I said, whatever suits you the best.
If you choose to rent an apartment there, there are few good restaurants and even a small supermarket that has everything one needs to pass a good time up in the mountains.
You can rent ski and leave them in the locker, everytime you go. No need to be dragging all the gear to your hotel or apartment.
Three hotels with at least 4 stars, dominate the Soldau area in Andorran mountain range. Their perfect infrastructure makes your stay very cozy and worthwhile. They are ready to accomodate any of your demands, with excellent spa area, kindergarten. It may not sound as important, but for families with small kids, it can be a deal breaker.
If you feel like to have a little bit of exercise, there is a nicely equipped gym, spacious enough to have a good workout. They even provide personal trainer, for guests, who need a bit of guidance.
Spa in Hermitage hotel is one of the best I have ever seen. It’s built in the lower level of the hotel with a very nice view of the snowy mountain ridge. They even have a hot tub jacuzzi outside, in the freezing cold. It’s for the brave ones.

Now that you have settled in, you can have more options to have fun and move around, on the ski. From Soldau, you can take a different routes to the neighbours, like Encamp, Canillo, El Tarter, Grau Roig or Paz de la Casa.
Tourist on ski: that’s moreless what can you get here in high mountains of Andorra. Without taking your ski off, you are able to see most of the parts of higher mountains of Andorra, thanks to the good network within the slopes of Grandvalira.
It’s also great to go with kids. They have instalations for the beginners, starting at age of 3. They are assigned to the Snow garden, where they can get their first experience skiing and playing around on the snow or with the snow. Our kids loved it.
We haven’t skied past years, so we just let the kids have that experience. So what can you do up in the mountain while your little ones are enjoying the snow?
Well, you reserve yourself a table in Clicquot Snow Club Grandvalira,
where you can get a tan and a really good service for a good part of the day. You can start at 10, and you can stay up there all the way up to 16hrs. That’s where the sun goes down, and you really don’t want to chill out outside too much, because it gets cold. Remember, no sun no fun.
Like I said, make sure you get a reservation, especially on the busy times of the year, their top season. Their VIP lounge holds up to 30 people. You can enjoy the top champagne from the Veuve Clicquot brand, one of the top ones in the business.
For a good atmosphere, there is also a DJ on site, trying to give the people a good time, while breathing fresh air, drinking top champagne and taking some sun.
It’s a wonderful experience and you should try it with your loved ones or friends.
