BACK TO THE FUTURE IN FASHION WORLD
When you have a career like Lubos it’s hard to know from where to start, but like always we will start from his early beginnings.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. If you are making mistakes…you’re Doing Something. “
Our culture gets influenced by the traces of the past and we tend to go there quite often and get ideas from it.
Fashion is the perfect example of this phenomenon, in many ways, ideas and concepts make constant comebacks, just to fade away or die out completely. Years, even decades later, they get rediscovered again and everyone is in love with the trend again. One of the new trends that has been “rediscovered” is the shoe design called Espadrilles.
Traditionally it has been part of the typical costume in a large part of these regions. There are a wide variety of types of espadrilles, basically divided into two classes: those that fit with tapes and those that do not. It can also be divided into a flat type, more traditional ones, and those with high heels, which usually incorporate a wedge. Nowadays, it is common for the esparto sole to be covered totally or partially with a thin layer of rubber, to protect them from moisture and wear.
Espadrilles, espadrilles or espadrilles, a footwear originally used for peasant, folk or military use, is now a “must-have” in the French Riviera, Raffia and straw add dimension and fantasy to this season’s shoes.
Gloria Lladó, with her signature “Eikō Ai” presented the collection ‘Quantum One’ a collection inspired by celestial bodies and the brightness of the Milky Way. Light tones with infusion of brightness, artificial colors, lilac, mint and whitish lights. A sophisticated and feminine woman with delicate and contemporary clothes. All a splendor!
The discreet charm of the French style dazzled the catwalks of the Fashion Week Barcelona 2020 with designs inspired by the powerful and feminine women created by Maite By Lola Casademunt, introducing a game of elegance and daring that seduced everyone present.
A comfortable shoe that became a chic icon on the beaches of the French Riviera in the 1930s. But with its irreverence, Yves Saint Laurent transformed it into a luxury accessory. Coco Chanel has also not been left behind, on the French Riviera she enriched with her nautical-inspired espadrilles designs, accompanied with pearls and a marine hat, we have still been shown how to use them in her best looks, such as great actresses such as Grace Kelly, Lauren Bacall, Audrey Hepburn and Bette Davis with their elegance and sophistication.
A great brand that brings us back to this world with its great creations and with more than 10 years of international experience is Handmade®️.
It is a fairly new company that entered the sector of espadrilles, brogues and leather shoes, dealing with design, artisan manufacturing and creation of experiences in various countries such as Colombia, the USA, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. Its store-experience is a reference to “colorful, fun and different”, located in various countries such as Colombia, the USA, Spain and the United Arab Emirates.
Owning Barcelona Handmade shoes is more than just a purchase. It is an experience! This summer the espadrilles or espadrilles are at their best, without a general rule, and with many options to wear them.
They create and allow an infinity of looks from casual, surfer, nautical and bohemian styles. Perfect for elegant and versatile looks and to accompany your looks from day to night.
.P.S. At handmade Barcelona you have 15% for a limited time, both in-store and online.

“A matter of skin and heart”
I know it seems like there will be no party for the New Year´s Eve this years!
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. Because if you are making mistakes…you’re Doing Something. “
In the next few paragraphs, I would like to share a piece of my life story. Some aspects of my life that not many people know but those things formed me as a person, the kind of adventurous and entrepreneurial woman that does not stop dreaming. What is the origin of my love for travel, my desire to discover new things, and try to learn new languages. Some dreams were shattered along the way, but the new ones arose from my way of living, and my way of wanting something more out of life. That is, maybe, the part of Keilley, that I would like to share with you now.
My mother was the source of my love for traveling! My parents split up when I was about two years old and I don’t have any real memories of my father, maybe only that he traveled for work often, and one day, well, he simply didn’t return. He worked as a promoter/producer of forro band, a type of music well known in the northern part of Brazil. He worked with big names in the industry at that time, and he became a well-known producer.
My mother was a gospel singer in Bahia. Part of her job was to visit churches in different cities and towns, located in my native Bahia. We started to move around when I was about three years old and we visited many churches.
My older sister also took on singing gospel and I took the opportunity to preach. I like to talk about God with people already at that young age. I remember many occasions when I could talk with someone about God, and their eyes would get misty, maybe because my words were coming from my heart, and were not polluted by adult thinking. So we kept on traveling, meeting more people and getting to know more places.
My mother was always on lookout for a better job, better conditions for her three kids (yes, I have a younger brother as well), and to allow them to get the best education possible.

So we kept on traveling, meeting more people and getting to know more places.
My mother was always on lookout for a better job, better conditions for her three kids (yes, I have a younger brother as well), and to allow them to get the best education possible.
Modeling was around me, since my sister worked in the industry and won several beauty contests in Brazil, and it affected me in my early years.
I wanted to follow her footsteps, learn how to walk, dress, and all the other things.
My body wasn’t built to walk on catwalks, and my large breasts were not taken as a great asset in the industry.
My development started early, as soon as when I was ten years old, my chest started to form and didn’t stop growing until I was well in high school. It is not easy for a teenage girl to have her dreams crushed because of her big breasts. It was not only about modeling. Children at school often teased me about it, giving me a hard time, for something that I should be proud of from the very beginning. But at that time, it felt a little bit more as a curse, since it made my dreams impossible.
Around that time, volleyball came to my life, and made me forget about the modeling. Something that served me as an escape, soon became my love.
I put all my energy into becoming as good of a player as I could have possibly be. I felt the passion for the game, and my rapid growth only kept on motivating me more. Soon enough, I could also see pleasant results on my body, which was a great “side effect” of practicing hard every day.
Playing volleyball completely changed my perspective on life and by the age of 14, I ended up totally falling in love with the sport. Soon enough, my younger brother would join me, and we practiced together quite often. The routine of practicing and everything that was around it, made me feel great, and my taste of exercising was cultivated in me since that age. I started to play volleyball professionally, taking the sport more seriously. I went to Curitiba to get to another level. In that city were one of the best teams in the country, more opportunities to develop and get exposure. I did many tryouts and my experience grew rapidly. I got to meet many different types of managers, coaches, and when I look back now, it really prepared me well for the future.
Some time later, I went from indoor volleyball to beach volleyball. It was a new experience, and also a new opportunity for me to travel. Even to the foreign countries.
The emotion was immense. I couldn’t believe that something that I loved so much could open more doors from me.
When an opportunity to play in Europe professionally came by, I didn’t hesitate. When I crossed the Atlantic, and I landed in the Charles de Gaul airport in Paris, I felt an urge of thought, maybe a feeling, that I would never return to Brazil. That Europe would be my new home. It is a sensation hard to explain, and in my native language (Portuguese), we call it “a matter of skin and heart”.
I was enchanted with the old continent.
Every country, every city that I have lived in or visited, made me feel awesome and I never felt like leaving this place.
Spain would become my headquarters, since I learned the language quite easily, and it was not hard to fall in love with the climate and the local gastronomy. Looking back, all of this happened because of my passion for volleyball, and I am eternally grateful for it. It shaped me into a person that I am today!!

When you have a career like Lubos it’s hard to know from where to start, but like always we will start from his early beginnings.

Oh yes girls and boys, The 080 Fashion Week Barcelona 2020 was wonderful. It was a week full of glamor and futuristic visions on the catwalk and it gave as a litle glimpse on what is coming for Autumn-Winter 2020-2021.

Wow!… I still have troubles finding words to put down since I still feel the excitement of every night, every show. It was crazy, the designs, the lights, the music of local and international artists, all behind the backstage; Every after party was wonderful. So hang on and keep reading because I’m going to tell you what struck me the most about Fashion Week 080 Barcelona 2020.
Óscar León also showed up with some innovative designs, with new printed reflections, t-shirts, mixtures of textures and with the color turmeric as a novelty. Although he was not forgetting the black color, which is its base.
I was struck this year by the Sonia Carrasco collection, marked by a strong commitment to the environment. Carrasco baptized his collection by giving it the name of the coordinates of the Pacific Plastic Island “45.376543, 59.651328”. All his contemporary designs are made from organic materials, all very beautiful. And what about Juan Avellaneda, it was a celebration of glamor, good vibes and amazing designs in all its forms.

“You need to believe in yourself and what you do. Be tenacious and genuine. Christian Louboutin “
He fell in love with a poster whose protagonist was a shoe and, in a way, it all started there. He worked at the Follies Berger and also, as a freelance designer until, at the beginning of the 90s, he launched his own firm and became the French shoemaker of impossible heels with red soles. From then on, everything was growing and gaining notoriety, yielding feminine will everywhere. Last Wednesday he was in Barcelona for the grand opening party of his first store, on Passeig de Gràcia, which opened in March 2018.
It would be too easy to think that Christian Louboutin, designer of luxury shoes, is as haughty as his coveted red-soled stilettos, which elevate the most daring up to 12 centimeters off the ground. Nothing could be further from the truth. The French designer is a kind, simple man and who loves to talk. “I never dreamed of being a great designer. My goal was only to do beautiful things.”
He grew up surrounded by women, with three older sisters and a very present mother, and he has always felt very comfortable in the company of women. In addition, he affirms that women also feel comfortable with their company. It is a matter of admiration, surely mutual. Although some may think otherwise, because the height and shape of stilettos does not convince all of them, Louboutin says he designs shoes to empower women. He feels wonderful the power that have a pair of heels to enhance a style, a silhouette. “Shoes can change a woman’s way of walking, the way she moves, they can create magic, illusion and desire, and those are the things I love,” she says. At less than 12 centimeters, Christian Louboutin is a down-to-earth designer but also a visionary.
He knows that his heels rub against the impossible but he defends the sophistication on the naturalness and in that field the heels always win, especially if they have the red sole, moreover, Louboutin says that there are not high heels …
” High heels are pleasure with pain. “
He is currently considered one of the most important shoe designers in the world. “The higher the better. It is more a question of attitude. The high heels empower the woman in a certain way. “

Are you ready for the 2018 World cup?
It’s behind the doors and if you’re not going to travel to Russia, no worries, we have an excellent option for you : Casa do Brasil in Barcelona!!!!
A casa do Brasil, was born as a proposition to keep the spirit of the World Cup 2014, in our own country, transforming its impact, both cultural and entertaining, to the city of Barcelona.
Such a place like “Fun Fest” will be a spot for “our people” to gather and enjoy the beauty of “our sport”, a great connection to our culture and community.
That’s the reason why we made a serious effort to create such place, a product of Brazil, in Barcelona. After many negotiations, we finally found the right place. It’s the “Estación de Francia”, important check point of Barcelona, located between the port and the center, close to the city’s biggest park, Cuitadela.
Its a monument of freedom, space, culture, art and history.
So don’t lose your chance to watching and have fun on this day… Get ready for the 2018 World cup!!!
Buenos Aires Grill
When you have a career like Lubos it’s hard to know from where to start, but like always we will start from his early beginnings.
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes. If you are making mistakes…you’re Doing Something. “
It’s the time of the year that you are absolutely tired of being inside, being tired of cold weather and windy and rainy cast. The winter seems to take longer each year.
Everyone welcomes the sunshine with open arms and I absolutely love to spend time outside.
One of my favorite place to go is Sitges, a nice cozy town on the mediterean sea, south of Barcelona. It has a unique climate, micro climate, that is a bit different from surroundings.
Many times it was cloudy in Barcelona but the skies were clear in Sitges.
I have been going there for the past ten years and my number one place to eat there is Buenos Aires Grill. It’s a argetinian type of restaurant with a great selection of meats and other products.
BA Grill is located right at the beach of San Sebastian plaza, northern part of Sitges. People always like to sit and eat outside, with an amazing view of the beach and the sea. Little breeze that passes through makes an unique experience, great combination between dining and relaxation.
For those who are not a huge fan of meat cousine, there is good news here too. Buenos Aires Grill is just one of the 3 restaurants, connected to each other. Right next door, there is a italian style restaurant, Ragazzi, and also a Sushi place. Therefore, if you want, you can sit down in any of these three restaurants and order from all 3 menus at the same time. It doesn’t get more flexible than this.
I love to come to Sitges and spend here the entire afternoon, go around the port with my family, stay on the beach for few hours, and even go in the water, which is a lot cleaner than in the beaches of Barcelona. We make sure that dining in Buenos Aires grill is in our plans, because you can’t fully enjoy your stay in Sitges if you don’t eat well.
Five years ago, Buenos Aires Grill opened another restaurant in the center of Barcelona, located in C/Valencia with C/Aribau. That’s where we got really spoiled and whenever we want to have a best kind of steak, we don’t always have to go to Sitges.
And it’s not only their product of meats and their selection of wines that makes it a special place to go.
It’s the service, hospitality and warm welcome of their staff that makes it a great experience.
All the people that we brought with us to this place, they keep coming back. That’s how the best restaurants operate and that’s the way Buenos Aires Grill has its place in the dining business.
